I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Stanford University. My dissertation project studies why minorities can remain marginalized in democracies, with a focus on the political, social, and economic disadvantages that Muslims face in India. In other ongoing research I study intergroup violence, the intersection of technology and politics, and migration.
I am a graduate fellow with the Immigration Policy Lab and affiliated with the Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies. I'm also a 2017 National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, a Stanford EDGE Doctoral Fellow, and an APSA Minority Fellow.
Prior to graduate school, I worked on an international development project in Nairobi, Kenya. I received my B.A. summa cum laude in Government from Dartmouth College.
